Follow - up Exercises

The client then applies what has been learned and does follow-up exercises at home to continue to build on the newly acquired success. For continued improvement and success after completion of the Davis® Dyslexia Correction Program, a planned schedule will be created and will need to be followed. The amount of time dedicated to daily follow-up varies depending on each client’s goals.

4 .

Review

Telephone and unlimited email consultations with Cheryl, and up to 6 hours of follow-up visits, as needed.

5 .

The Davis® Approach

The Davis® approach puts dyslexic students in control of their own learning, mental focus, and energy. Davis® methods go to the root of the problems that are the true causes of learning disabilities. The program focuses on the natural talents and strengths of the client and they are designed especially for the learning style of visual-spatial learners. Clients learn how they can use the knowledge they have learned to improve their daily lives. The program does not use phonics, rote memorization, or repetition -all of which do not help with dealing with the root cause of dyslexia. The Davis® program takes one week, not years, and the follow-up work can be done on their own schedule at home.

Clients leave the Davis® program with the ability to control their disorientation, focus at will, and gain the knowledge on how to eliminate confusion in symbols. They feel an increase in their self-confidence due to their improved reading, writing, math, and physical skills.

Support Training

On the last afternoon, the client's family members, tutors, or friends will be trained to assist in the follow-up exercises to ensure post-program success. Clients will be provided with a kit containing all the necessary materials to continue learning.

3 .

The Program

Once a client has been identified to be a good candidate for the program through The Assessment, the client learns to correct perception and control disorientation. The intensive mastering process helps with overcoming confusion in a fun and creative manner.

  • Student kit containing student manual, dictionary, clay, clay cutter, “Checking your Grammar” book, Koosh® balls, procedure charts, in a backpack.
